Faerie Dreams ....

“Let the beauty you love be what you do. There are a

thousand ways to kneel and kiss the Earth.” – Rumi

Do things from Love, not for Love.

Hand in hand, with fairy grace, Will we sing, and bless this place. ~Shakespeare ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Transparent forms, too fine for mortal sight. Their fluid bodies half dissolved in light.  ~Alexander Pope

Morgan La Fey,  Sacred Trees

"When walking through a warm and lush forest setting one's thoughts can easily take flights of fancy. It is not difficult to shed the layers of modern life and find one's more subtle or primitive beginnings.  Somewhere from deep within the spiritand majesty of each single tree steps forth and at once one can find themselves transported to a world of shadow and shade."

The Wood Nymph ~ Ellis Parker Butler

A glint of her hair or a flash of her shoulder —

That is the most I can boast to have seen,

Then all is lost as the shadows enfold her,

Forest glades making a screen of their green,

Could I cast off all the cares of tomorrow—

Could I forget all the fret of today

Then, my heart free from the burdens I borrow,

Nature’s chaste spirit her face would display.

Francis Hodgson Burnett - The Secret Garden

Sometimes since I’ve been in the garden I’ve looked up through the trees at the

sky and I have had a strange feeling of being happy as if something was pushing

and drawing in my chest and making me breathe fast. Magic is always pushing

and drawing and making things out of nothing. Everything is made out of magic,

leaves and trees, flowers and birds, badgers and foxes and squirrels and people.

So it must be all around us.

Of course there must be lots of Magic in the world, but people don’t know what it is like or how to make it.

 ~ Francis Hodgson Burnet

The creation of a thousand forests is in one Acorn. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
